BBSafe – January newsletter
With gratitude – 2023!
As we gear up to jump into 2023, it has been a good time to reflect on 2022. I launched BBSafe Au in early 2022 – in that time we have been blessed to work with some amazing organisations and businesses in strengthening the safety of the people and communities they work with. We have provided 11 free webinars on various aspects of safeguarding to over 120 registrants from across the country. We have provided probono services and briefings to community services, sporting organisations, disability, aged care, early childhood, veterans services, religious organisations, homelessness, domestic violence, schools, parent groups and the private sector. We have partnered with local, state based and national not for profits, faith based organisations, sports clubs and schools who are deeply committed to safeguarding the people they work with and to addressing the wrongs of the past. We launched our website to provide tools and information to those on the safeguarding journey and we continue to evolve the BBSafe Framework for Safeguarding Culture to meet the needs of these various sectors and organisations.
With gratitude for the generous support of colleagues and connections, we look forward to another exciting year for BBSafe Au and to many more conversations about keeping people safe from abuse in institutions and organisations.
